How to Find Us
Christian EducationAdult Sunday School Options for Fall 2011
Christian Viewpoints: This class will be watching and discussing Praying in the Midst of Life. “How can I know God’s will for me? How do I answer my children’s questions about prayer? Why do I only seem to pray in a crisis? Where can I find the time? These words reflect the age-old yearning for a deeper relationship with God. Responding to that yearning, Ron Del bene touches both heart and mind while offering practical suggestions for deepening one’s spiritual life in a chaotic world.” *Jason Gamble is the teacher. They meet in the church office.
*Teachers are Jan Goin, Teddy Marcot, Tony Savage, and Pam Stewart. They meet in F203.
*Teachers are Becky Dingle, Robin Bowers, and Anne Peterson. They will meet in E103.
Present Word: Participants are invited to reflect on how they might live in faith and love. The Present Word nurtures individual growth of the participants as children of God rooted in the Christian community, life in the Spirit and Christian hope. Discussion and activities encourage participants to live out their faith in their individual and congregational activities. The fall quarter is a survey of Old Testament wisdom literature. Lessons are collected from Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Solomon. An examination of Jesus' teaching, taken from the book of Matthew, is also included. *Teachers are Collis Boyd, Jim Mallory, and Anne Vido. They meet in F201.

Discover what it means to be Presbyterian and how you can become a member of the Dorchester family. Safe Place Policy In August 2008, the Session approved our new Safe Place Policy, which is designed to protect our children and youth from abuse as well as protect our staff and volunteers from false allegations of abuse. Included in this policy are guidelines for Nursery, Children's Church, Sunday School, and Presbyterian Youth Connection. All of our staff and volunteers have completed training on this policy and filled out applications, which includes a background check authorization. It is our hope that through this policy all of God's children feel (and are) safe participating in the mission and ministry of this church.
