The Good Shepherd School
As people of God, the Congregation of Dorchester Presbyterian Church supports the community in which we live and work, and offers to our families a ministry of service and outreach.
The Good Shepherd School - Child Development Center
Opened August 1988 - State Licensed
The Center provides:
Full Child Care Daily - 6:30 am to 6:30 pm for infants, Toddlers, 2, 3, and 4 year old children. Extended Care (before and after school) for Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade children. Summer Fun program for summer months.
The purpose of the Center is to help children grow in every way to reach their God-given potential. The Center seeks to provide a Christian environment in which children may discover an interest and joy in learning while being guided in the discovery and exploration of the world around them.
The Center is staffed by trained and experienced teachers, assistants, and child care givers who share a deep commitment and love for children. There is an enrollment of 90 children and a staff of 23, including a director and afternoon supervisor.
The Center is governed by a twelve member Board of Directors appointed by the Session of Dorchester Presbyterian Church. The Board is responsible for the overall guidance of the program.
The Center is a non-profit, self-supporting ministry of this congregation.
